This brand started off providing cow milk until it closed its doors in 2016. It seemed like the end for Elmhurst, yet it re-emerged a year later offering plant-based milk.

What a difference a year makes. 

Henry Shwatrz, who had closed the factory, saw that consumer demand had swung more towards a vegan option. A fortuitous meeting with a food scientist, saw the company relaunch.

It uses a process, HypdroRelease, to separate the goodness from nuts and grains. Then these components are put back together in a creamy substance. 

Everything is natural and plant-based. Elmhurst is reborn and now markets milk, creams, and lattes.

One thing this company wants to make clear is that Milkadamia is the name of the product and not the company.

It originates from a Jindilli farm located on Australia’s east coast. All products are made with macadamia sourced either directly from the farm, its neighbors and imported nuts from South Africa. 

You can buy cooking oil, milk, creamers, and spreads.  Everything is dairy- and gluten-free.

Currently, the products are available in Australia, the UK, and America.

Blue Diamond

In 1850, Californian trailblazers plant almond tree crops which started an industry. Since then, the company has become a well-recognized non-dairy alternative through its almond milk.

Also, everything is non-GMO (except for  Hint of Honey items).
