Galvin La Chapelle

Not far from Liverpool Station you will find this elegant restaurant. It offers a French selection on its menu.

The seasonal food is sourced daily and prepared with care. This compassion also extends to the diners whose well-being is of the utmost importance.

Galvin La Chapelle has been 1-star Michelin rated since 2011.

They offer a range of menus to cater for all people. For vegans, there is an amazing selection that is sure to satisfy them.

Pied a Terre

Started by David Moore in 1991, Pied a Terre is UK’s longest Michelin-starred independent restaurant.

For vegans, the restaurant has been recognized as the No. 1 establishment in Britain for its vegan experience. There are new vegan dishes to try each week, and you can either dine in or deliver the food.

You are given instructions on how to heat the meal at home if you decide to pick up your meal or have it delivered.

The Ritz Restaurant

The Ritz

Nothing says class and only the finest more than The Ritz. You can stay the night and enjoy a fabulous meal or just dine in.

The menu features the best seasonal British food. Though there isn’t an explicit mention of vegan dishes, The Ritz says it accommodates all reasonable dietary requests.

You just have to tell them in advance.

There is a strict dress code:

“The Ritz London has a dress code in different areas of the hotel as follows: Gentlemen are required to wear a jacket and tie (jeans and sportswear are not permitted for either ladies or gentlemen) for afternoon tea in The Palm Court and The Ritz Club, and for lunch and dinner in The Ritz Restaurant and Terrace.

In all other areas of the hotel (The Ritz Restaurant breakfast service, The Rivoli Bar, The Long Gallery, The Ritz Garden and the Cigar Lounge), smart casual attire is required. Please note that shorts, trainers and sportswear are not permitted in any of the hotel’s restaurants or bars.”

If you care to visit the Ritz, it’s located in Piccadilly.

Simpsons Restaurant

Simpsons started in 1993 with a vision to bring a contemporary twist to British classic dishes. It was awarded its Michelin star in 1999 and also has received numerous other awards and recognition.

As far as veganism cuisine goes, this restaurant has been recognised by PETA for its plant-based offerings. There is a wide selection you can choose from.

This vegan-friendly restaurant can be found in Birmingham.

Pollen Street Social

If you are wanting to have a meal in a more informal atmosphere, then give Pollen Street Social a visit. Within six months of its opening, the restaurant earned its Michelin star rating.

You will find on their menu a mix of seafood and meat. However, that doesn’t mean that vegans aren’t catered for.

Pollen Street Social offer a vegan menu made from the highest quality British produce.

If you’re in Mayfair and feeling hungry, why not pop in or make a reservation.

HRiSHi

restaurant

HRiSHi offers so much. You can stay in the hotel, have a spa or eat at the restaurant.

The food on offer is a creative take on British classics. Also, you have the choice of a variety of dishes from a mix of Asian cultures.

All the menus are plant-based. So vegans can eat to their hearts’ delight.

Why not build up your appetite with a spa before the meal? Such a holistic experience.

If you want to try it, then head over to Windermere. The hotel is 5 minutes drive from the town.

Belmond Le Manoir Aux Quat’Saisons

Step back in time and dine in this 15th-century manor. Nestled away in the countryside you can’t help be charmed by the location and the atmosphere.

It’s not only a restaurant but a cooking school where you and your children can hone their culinary skills.

The herbs and vegetables are sourced from the two-acre garden. From these are created an amazing array of dishes for vegans and vegetarians.

Eat and learn. Extend your food knowledge.

Who knows? Maybe your time at Belmont Le Manoir will spark that Masterchef within you.

Gidleigh Park

On the edge of Dartmoor in Devon sits this stunning looking restaurant.

There’s more to this place than just food. You can have a play in the 18-hole putting course, get in a game of tennis or have a relaxing time with croquet.

Everything is tranquil and restorative. So if you need some “me” time, then Gidleigh Park is worth considering.

As you dine you can look out over the gorgeous gardens that surround the manor. That’s a feast for the eyes as well as for your tummy.

There is a disclaimer that you need to advise the restaurant if you have any special dietary requirements. They also say that there is a high probability of cross-contamination.

Like the Ritz, Gidleigh Park also has a dress code:

“We genuinely want everyone to feel comfortable when they are staying with us so we have put together a guide as to the general style of attire.

Dining in the restaurant at Gidleigh is a special experience and we encourage everyone to dress for dinner to reflect this. We would best describe the dress code as smart casual and mostly in the evening, gentlemen tend to wear jackets.

Our guests do also wear smart jeans with a jacket but they don’t come in very casual clothes with trainers or flip flops.”

Worth a visit if you’re in the Devin area.

Be Careful

Unfortunately, when putting together this list of Michelin star restaurants, we had to remove several from the list. That’s because, though they may appear in other lists as vegan-friendly, they aren’t.

For example, Trinity is one restaurant that we couldn’t include as their menu doesn’t seem to offer vegan options.

Even Gidleigh Park, though it made it onto this list, suggests that there is a chance of cross-contamination. We included it as the restaurant does try to accommodate all dietary requirements.

As always, do your due diligence. If you have any concerns, then contact the restaurant and ask about how they provide vegan dishes.

Enjoy your night out! Don’t forget to dress for the occasion.
