This vegan ranch dressing is creamy, tangy, dilly and fresh as hell. It’s even better than ranch made with dairy and the hemp hearts make it extremely healthy!
We’ve been making this vegan ranch dressing for about 4 years. We absolutely love it! The kids are much more excited to eat veggies when we have this on hand and there isn’t a single bad ingredient in it.
The hemp hearts are packed with protein and Omega-3’s and the nutritional yeast has vitamin B12 in it. You can’t go wrong! My husband and I joke that even dipping chips in it is healthier (it is, right??)
HOW DO YOU MAKE VEGAN RANCH DRESSING?
Easy peasy my friend!
Throw all the ingredients into your trusty blender and blend the shit out of it till it’s smooth.
Then add the dill and pulse it just to combine.
This dip is best served once chilled but we never leave enough time for that…
So we chuck it into the freezer for 10-20 minutes in a pinch.
Just don’t forget it or you’ll have to let it unthaw!

This will keep in the fridge for about 5-7 days. Freeze half the batch if you want, let it unthaw in the fridge!
- 1/2 cup hemp hearts
- 1/3 cup water
- 1 tbsp oil* see notes
- 3 tbsp white vinegar
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp dried parsley
- 1/2 tbsp nutritional yeast
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 of a lemon, squeezed
- 2 tbsp fresh dill
- Add all the ingredients except the dill to a blender and blend until smooth.
- Add the dill and blend to incorporate. Chill and serve!
*Add a tbsp of water in place of the oil to make it oil free.
*Add hot sauce to make buffalo ranch!
*Any ingredient can be adjusted to taste or consistency preferences!
*For dip- use a 1/4 cup water
*For dressing- use a 1/3 cup water
